I lead a >$1.8M portfolio of federally and industry funded projects designed to strengthen innovation while instilling public trust and accountability in science. My work builds practical governance infrastructures across national policy priorities in artificial intelligence, biomedical research, data security, and the commercial spaceflight. My current projects reflect ongoing work in

• Translating the perspectives of patients and physicians into trustworthy health AI, with a special focus on rural Texas communities

• Protecting sensitive genomic data while enabling secure and efficient cloud-based research; and

• Developing ethical safeguards for the rapidly expanding commercial spaceflight sector.

Across these initiatives, I bring patients, researchers, technology developers, and policymakers together to convert complex ethical challenges into actionable standards and tools that serve the public interest.
